Our Programs
Our programs are: inviting, joyful, active, participatory, age-appropriate, well planned, and divided thusly:
- Awakenings (12-36mo, child accompanied by an adult). Class size maximum : 10
- The Music Box (3s & young 4s), drop-off class. Class size: 10 or 12.
- Pathways Orff Class (4s & 5s, includes keyboard) class size: 12 to 14, 2 teachers, split class for keyboard.
- Adventures Orff Class (grades 1-3, includes keyboard and recorder or flute) Class size: 21, 3 teachers. Each child is placed in a amall group acording to his or her age and musical experience. All receive instruction in singing, keyboard, recorder or flute, Orff instruments, movement, and music theory.
- Flute Ensemble, Keyboard Ensemble, or Percussion, Singing, and Movement Ensemble (grades 4-6)
We add keyboard learning time to classes for four through nine-year-olds. The older children (6 – 9) learn to read music and study recorder and/or flute, graduating after third grade with the ability to sightread music and play several instruments.
We also offer specialized after-school music instruction for fourth through sixth graders.
